The x4 electric scooter model from Nanrobot is their low-end budget alternative. Coming from a high-end professional electric scooter brand that doesn’t mean you aren’t getting a decent amount of power for your money though.
The x4 actually has more power than most electric scooters with similar price tags, and on top of power it has much more to offer in terms of riding comfort.

The Nanrobot X4 is equipped with a powerful rear-mounted 350w hub motor that is capable of delivering a top speed of up to 20 mph. The motor is found inside one of the two 8” solid rubber tires.
The scooter has a robust construction and uses high-quality materials giving it a small edge on other budget alternatives. There is even a 2-year warranty on the frame itself. Along with a 1-year warranty for the motor and a 180-days warranty for the battery.
Powered by a 36V/10.4Ah lithium-ion battery you can expect a maximum traveling distance of up to 25 miles per charge and a full reload doesn’t take more than 4-6 hours to accomplish.
The scooter can be folded in two ways, first the traditional style with the handlebar down, but then you can fold in the handles too in order to make it even more convenient to travel with.

Riding Experience
The Nanrobot x4 is a great ride. Coming in at 37.5 lbs, it is a couple of lbs heavier than most other 350W scooters and you can feel the quality of it just lifting it out of the box.
Sturdy and powerful enough to handle a rider with a total weight of up to 264 lbs without it having a very negative effect on performance. If you need something even sturdier then perhaps the Zero10X/Turbowheel lightning might be a good choice. Its more expensive but you also get a higher output.
The large 8” tires enables you to ride on most terrain. Even though they are built out of solid rubber the two front suspension system makes the ride so much smoother than if the tires would have been air-filled.
The rear brake works like wonders and gets you to a full halt within just a couple of meters.
The 350W motor is mounted in the back giving you more of a pushing feeling instead of the dragging feeling most traditional scooters provide. This also provides you with a far better grip and you are less likely to wear out the tires by spinning on take-offs.
I had no problem with my 172 lbs to get up hills as steep as up to 14 degrees, nor did I have a problem reaching the expected top speed at 20 mphs.
There is enough juice in the battery to make my job to empty it fully a bit frustrating. Felt like it was going to go on forever. But eventually after about 2 hours of riding under various conditions I had emptied it completely. Before it slowing in to a full stop it had taken me almost 23 miles, 22.73 to be exact. Which is really good for a scooter in this price category.
Before moving on with our review, I would like to point out the excellent folding functions once again. This makes the otherwise pretty heavy unit fold down into a similar size of the Segway ES2.

So who would enjoy the X4?
Well to start with it is a high-quality scooter built to last long and go fast. It won’t be the best option for someone who doesn’t need to cover more grounds than perhaps a couple of blocks in a city with fantastic roads, like NYC.
No, you who go for the X4 needs something a bit more sturdy, that provides you with the best possible riding comfort. But also very importantly, you want to get all of this for a decent price.
You should weigh around 230-240 lbs tops in order to fully enjoy the X4.
That is who the Nanrobot X4 is for! If you need to cover a bit more than just that last mile from the subway station and you want to do it comfortably and fast. Then the Nanrobot X4 is a great choice for you.
