Features of the Segway Ninebot E8
Deck
The deck is one of the most important aspects of the Segway E8. This is where the battery, computer, and controls live as well as where your kid stands.

During our test of the Ninebot E8, the scooter consistently hit 9 mph.
So, you can expect your kids to get pretty close to that 8.7 miles per hour maximum speed mark. To put this speed into perspective, a beginner on a bicycle will average roughly 10 miles per hour. It’s a good idea to encourage your kids to wear helmets when riding a Zing e8.
Range
The range is one of the most important factors when we consider an electric scooter. The eKickScooter Zing E8 has a range of 6.2 miles. This range should cover trips to the local neighborhood pretty easily. Especially if they can charge the scooter when they arrive at their destination. Based on the top speed of this scooter, this range should give your kids just shy of an hour’s worth of consistent riding per charge.

The Zing E8 has a standard water resistance that leaves us wanting something more. It’s rated at IPX4. This rating means that it will resist splashing from any direction.
