Razor T25 Electric Scooter or GoTrax GXL V2

The Razor T25 Electric Scooter has an 18-mile range while the Gotrax GXL V2 only has up to a 12-mile range of commute. Both of these scooters have a maximum speed of 15.5 miles per hour. They are both meant for commuters and are mostly purchased by adults. Both have 36 volt rechargeable batteries that are fully charged within four hours. It takes a single charge for the T25 to go up to 18 miles. The Gotrax GXL V2 would need two charges to go that distance.

The T25 has three featured modes, namely cruising, pedestrian and sport mode. This allows the rider to set the speed in advance. The Gotrax GXL V2 only operates in one mode.

The motor wattage for both scooters is 250W. The T25 weighs 27 pounds and the Gotrax is not far behind at 26.4 pounds. The tire size for the T25 is 7.87 inches and the Gotrax is 8.5 inches.

Both have ultra bright LED headlights in front and reflectors in the back. The T25 can be folded and hand-carried while the GoTrax can also be folded and hand carried. Both have rear brakes, but the GoTrax does not have front brakes. Overall, we think the winner is the Razor T25 but, is it worth another couple hundred bucks to you?

Razor T25 Electric Scooter or Segway ES2

The Segway ES2 is quite compact like the T25 electric razor scooter and both are very popular around the world. Both scooters are known for known for theirportability and unique design. The ES2 is longer than the T25 at 44.5 inches in length when folded while the T25 is 36.7 inches. The ES2 has a slimmer size when folded. While the T25 has three driving modes: pedestrian, sport, and cruising, the ES2 has a “trolley mode,” which is convenient for those who want to use it for shopping or carrying a piece of luggage.

We think the trolley mode is similar to the pedestrian mode on the Razor T25 electric scooter. The Segway Ninebot ES2 scooter was made for long commutes where the rider can fold it up and carry it aboard buses and trains. It weighs 27.5 pounds while the T25 weighs 27 pounds. Both are easy to carry up a flight of stairs or placed in the trunk of a car.

Wheel

The wheel sizes vary: ES2 has a wheel size of 7.5 inches while the T25 has 8.5 inches. The ES2 maxes out a speed of 15 miles per hour while the T25 maximum speed is 15.5 miles per hour. All-in-all, they’re very comparable — more than the GXLV2 and the T25.

I think it really comes down to money and personal preference. However, it is our general feeling that the Segway has a bit of a higher end fit and finish.

Razor T25 Electric Scooter vs. Razor e100 Electric Scooter

The razor e100 electric scooter is different from the T25, primarily because it is made for a kid, age 8 and up, but the latter was made with the adult specifically in mind, starting from age 18 and up. The maximum speed for the e100 electric scooter is 10 miles per hour and only for a good forty minutes while the T25 can go up to 18 miles on a single charge, has a maximum speed of 15.5 mph, and will last for more than an hour.

The E100 has a 100-watt electric motor while the T25 has a 250 Watt electric motor. The brake on the e100 electric scooter is hand-operated and has a 24v battery pack. The T25 also has hand brakes and boasts a larger, 36V battery pack. The deck for the E100 is 21 inches in length and 7 inches in width. The deck for the T25 is 28 inches long by 6.1 inches wide. The razor e100 weighs 26 pounds while the T25 weighs 27 pounds. Another major difference is that the Razor T25 has a nice tech stack where the Razor e100 electric scooter doesn’t have an LED display.

However, you can fold and unfold it for hand carrying until you are ready to use it. The T25 has a 250-watt hub motor and a 36v rechargeable battery pack. It can reach a normal speed up to 25 kilometers per hour or 15.5 miles per hour and it has a maximum range of up to 18 miles or 29 kilometers on a single charge. It has three separate modes for riding. In the pedestrian mode, you can travel 9.3 miles per hour or 15 kilometers per hour. Handlebars

handlebar

Most people often tend to focus on the characteristics related to the battery and the motor when there is an interest in the purchase of an electric scooter. However, the handlebars remains just as important. The quality of braking and suspensions are among the essential elements to be taken into consideration. Likewise, consider things like mobile applications, remote controls, GPS, and other features that could quickly become essential in your daily life.

Tires and Brakes

It also has a hand control, which you would use for the rear disk brake and the front brake. It comes with a tail light on the brakes, which illuminates while you ride. The front-wheel-drive operates at 350 watt with a maximum speed of 20 kilometers per hour. Tires are airless and resistant to abrasion as well as flat-free.

Battery

The battery is none other than the “tank” of the machine. To put it simply, the higher its capacity (expressed in kWh), the better the autonomy observed. This electric scooter comes with lithium batteries. Some models – often at low cost – however, continue to offer lead technology. It is certainly less expensive in case of replacement, but its lifespan is shorter than lithium batteries. They are also heavier and more fragile to maintain.

Lights

The T25 electric scooter comes with LED headlights and a reflective light at the back for improved visibility.

Portability and Weight

portability

The T25 electric scooter was designed to fold and hand-carried. This means that is very portable, and you can carry it around because of its low weight of 27 pounds.

Quality of Construction

It has a folding design with quick-release capability. The dashboard display comes with a battery indicator and speedometer as well as an accelerator control you activate with your thumb. The brakes are hand and battery-operated.

Charging Time

An electric scooter that can be recharged as many times as needed, lithium-ion technology gives you great flexibility. The average home> work trip being less than 20 kilometers per day there and back, the overwhelming majority of users of the T25 electric scooter will therefore not need to recharge the battery daily.

Warranty

When buying, always remember to check the warranty applied to the battery. This sometimes differs from that of the rest of the scooter. Consider asking to specify the conditions of application. With most manufacturers, the warranty only applies to a certain percentage of lost capacity. The company offers a warranty for free defects in the manufacturing as long as it is within 90 days of purchase. This is considered a limited warranty and does not offer coverage for normal wear and tear, failed attempts at assembling, wheels, damage, maintenance, and storage issues or misuse.

Razor T25 Electric Scooter Review

Razor T25

The Razor T25 electric scooter seems to offer service, quality, style, and service as is expected of all the scooters manufactured and sold by Razor. Yes, there may be many similar products on the market, but Razor is an American company that most people have come to know and trust. When the product is received, all that is needed is the attachment and assembly of the handlebars. However, the wires have to connect the handlebars and the stem prior to attaching the screws.

When charged for eight hours overnight, it goes up to 18 miles the next day and as long as an hour and ten minutes of riding. The scooter seems to be very sturdy, especially at the point where it is folded, although, its use was limited. Even though it says you can only go up to 25 kilometers in the sports mode, you can push it to 27 kilometers per hour.

The scooter is not programmed to change from kilometers to miles per hour.

It has to be done manually. If you want to change from kilometers to miles, you have to read the manual that the product came with or call the company for help. The onboard screen accommodates your Bluetooth capabilities if you want to use it. The battery life is uncertain since there were not enough trips taken to determine its capacity. When you take a trip for half an hour, the batter will usually be at half its capacity or less.

According to Razor, the battery can last for up to an hour and ten minutes for an 18-mile ride, but that would mean that you have to maintain a maximum speed of 15 miles per hour for the entire time. The battery rechargeable period seems a little long at four hours for a half an hour trip. The ride on the scooter is smooth while riding at a decent speed.

A Final Word on the Razor T25 Electric Scooter

The Razor T25 electric scooter provides users with safety and quality construction. A great recreational product, it can be used for local commute. The throttle has a thumb-activated acceleration feature, which allows you to control its operation. Its foldable design makes it easy to carry around. You can place it in the trunk of a car and bring it with you on the bus or other public transportation in its folded state. Even though you have to manually change kilometers per hour to miles per hour instead of with automatic programming, this is not a deal breaker.

The idea of charging the battery once and being able to go up to 24 kilometers in distance makes the T25 electric scooter fun to go on a ride. The three-speed modes also make it interesting as you can regulate and control your speed at any given time. The LED headlight and taillight at the back make seeing easy on the eyes, especially at night. The tires are airless and resistant to abrasion. There is assembly required, but mostly in hand control. This is a nice commuter scooter to have in your possession if you are not inclined to walk, but need something easy to take you around the community.
